966 injection pump

Is there any way diesel fuel can enter the crankcase thru the injection pump on my 966? For some reason, the oil is getting thinner, oil level is increasing, and I am not loosing water, nor does the tractor run any differently. Any one else have this happen?

Most of the time the problem is the square ring under the injection pump head.

Another possibility is the seal on the charge pump shaft. One other place may be the O-ring on the fuel control assembly.

Yes. That pump is lubricated with engine oil so an internal fuel leak in the pump results if fuel getting into the crankcase.
