cheap tubes

front went flat on my C, broke it down, nobody but TSC had a 4/5-15/16 tube.. so got that.

I typically don't put a ton of air pressure in a tube while it's out of the casing. just inflate to check for leaks, then deflate and instal.

got this one in, sot the air to it and constant leak around stem :(

broke it down, a seam had split at a corner.. or at least they look like seems..

anywho.. I've got a farm patch curing onit now and will give it a try sunday morning.. my next free time to work on it.

GRRR... cheap tubes...

I've seen where the air leaking around the valve stem is simply air trapped between the tube and the tire. Let it leak out, reinflate, and everything is fine.

i took front tires to good year and had foam put into them. works great, no more flat tires. a bit pricy though.

costs me about $10 each flat at the shop so it does not take long to pay its way.

do not use if you are on the road a lot at high speeds

adds quite a bit of weight to front end.

this one perforated for sure.

I'm tempted to do what a buddy did... got a tube of that spray foam.. the expanding type with the tube on it to fill cracks, and reinstall the leaky inner tube int he tire, remove valve fore, foam up allowing air to leak past 'leak' and thus making tire solid on the cheap.

my casings are almost junk anyway.. so no loss!
