both my rear axel seals leak, probably due to my cleaning it out with diesel and letting it be in there too long. i haven't seen them anywhere for sale, any sites to reccommend? thanks

I have seen them on EBAY resonable.Just put in "farmall m seal" in your search and they should come up.(I know many other sights have them too: Kuhns tractor parts is one. IDK about Steiners?

Unless you live out in the middle of nowhere, a local CaseIH dealer will be able to help you out. If you can get the part numbers, a bearing and seal shop (there's usually one in larger towns and cities) can cross-reference it for you and sell you a generic seal for much less than CaseIH.

Carter & Greunwald is a CaseIH dealer that will send you the part.
I've dealt with online ordering from Messick's on several occasions. They're another CaseIH dealer.

Both C&G and Messick's let you order directly from the parts book, if the part is available. You look up your machine, drill down to the part, add it to your shopping cart, and order.

I've got 'em. Send an email.

federal mogul #415004. Put them in my super m a couple months ago, seems like 19 or 20 bucks a piece.

I've been using Timken 417316. Check also for excessive axle bearing play which can cause leaks even with good seals.

With one side blocked up you can pry up on the tire (like checking ball joints on a car) or put a handyman jack under the axle and apply a little pressure and see how much play there is.
