Changing farmall m governor

Hey everyone I have a m Farmall my governor crapped out I
got a working governor off eBay To remove and install do I
just have to remove the three screws in timing cover holding
it on disconnect from carb also and remove and insta other
one and hook linkage up is that about it?

Please let me know thanks

pretty much, you have to sync the carb to the gov, by adjusting the linkage on the top of the gov (the slanted part). Other then that its pretty easy and straight forward.

That's about it - if I remember correctly there is a 4th bolt on the carburetor side near the block that has to be removed.You'll need a gasket also. Make sure you get the connection to the carb right or your tractor will run full bore with no throttle control.
