Farmhand F11 pump on Farmall M

The pto pump on my F11A gave up the ghost - it was not original to the loader, someone over the years put this one on (didn't even look like a farmhand pump). It was too small to begin with, therefore making the loader very slow. Now I am looking to put on a REAL pump - the question is, what gallon per minute output should I be looking for? The local AGCO/Farmhand dealer was of no help, had no idea other than a $700 price tag, which is more than I plan on spending. I"ve got the st"d F11 oil reservoir, which I think is about 5 gallons, and I read that the reservoir should be twice the gpm output. If that"s the case, then I"m limited to 2 1/2 gpm??? Any comments, opinions from all of you is appreciated.

A'Farmhand'pump from Northern or Baily, etc. is around $500.I believe they are a 12 gpm pump. Some are rated at 21gpm,but that is a little much. That much gpm would result in a jerky loader.2 1/2 gpm would make your loader real ssslllooowwww.

The original F11 pump is yellow in color and runs about 20 g/m, F11's are not a slow loader, I've got one on my SMta it moves right along. There are old junk F11's around here I'm sure you could find used original the would work plenty well here in NDak. Yopu might check with some of your local salvage guys
