I have looked on the left side of the cluch housing
and i see nothing for a s/n number. Can you tell me where it is. and how many numbers it might be.
MANY THANKS

What make/brand of tractor? Model (if known)? If you are uncertain, posted pictures would be helpful...or more descriptive information.

Working/tinkering on these old tractors can be a bit confusing at times.

Good luck!!

Guys I screwd that one up:
I have another Farmall Super H
and I need help finding the s/n number;
I do know that is on the left side by the cluch
some where but i can not find it no where.
I NEED HELP>
MANY THANKS

If it isn't on the clutch area casting on the left side, do a little detective work & look for 4 1/8 inch eustacheon pins that have been sheared/ chiseled off. They should be in a rectangular pattern--maybe 2 inches by 1 1/2.

This is what I just found:
This number came from the round area on the left side behind the cluch;
this is the number: 358046R1 is this what you are talking about?
MANY THANKS HAVE A GREAT EVENING
JR FRYE

I believe that on a Super H you can find the serial number on the right hand side of the block, near the top. That is where it is on an H, anyway. If the tractor has the original block then that would also be the tractor serial, again if it is like an H.

358046R1 is a disc brake housing. On the left side when sitting on the tractor the serial plate should be around 3 or 4 feet forward from the brake housing and maybe just a little higher up. Farmall 300 or 350 serial plate is on the right side.

For certain it is on an aluminum plate 4X2 inches or so. Plain sight left side of clutch housing below where the starter is mounted. If not there, it has been removed either on purpose, or from damage to it. The pin holes will be there on an H or SH. A few pages back there is a Rare H posting it has a picture of the plate. Jim

This is the number on the right side of the block:358067R1 This number to the lsft of the firing order
MANY THANKS
JR FRYE

The S/N is not that part number. It is below #1 sparkplug, it is stamped into a raised flat machined surface 3/4" by 2.5" long. Cleaning it will be needed. Solvent, and maybe a wire brush. Jim
