Driving to my father's home in Bellevue Iowa, just a mile west of Maquoketa, Iowa along highway 64 saw this 450 LP sitting along the road.

Maybe I'm way off on my information about LP 450's, but I'd say he's asking $1,500 - $2,000 too much. Just from the pictures, rear tires are almost bald, and the engine is leaking oil everywhere.

What are your plans with it?

I don't know Mike. I think that is a fair asking price for that tractor. The seller is probably willing to renegotiate to $3000.

Collectors like LP. They can sit for years without fuel problems. In some parts of the country there are no LP's. Production numbers are significantly less than gasoline. LP engines have longer service life and that tractor probably needs no engine work. And it has a 3 point although I would rather have a Fast Hitch.

If I lived in the mid-west and still buying tractors, I'd be interested. Be more interested in a Diesel though.

There was an LP 450 with a wfe and loader for sale along US hwy.56 in Galva Ks. a while back, but it must have sold. Didn't stop to check the price, but it looked pretty nice from the road.

It's not your H Mike.

I don't know, those tires don't look that bad to me. Maybe 50% and I don't see any dry rot on any of the tires. A few gasket replacements will get rid of the oil quite nicely. If I was in the market for a tractor I would go $2500.00 to $3000.00. JMHO.

Looks like a 2500 to 3000,and maybe 3500 tractor. Depends if the if the correct head and other parts is still on it.

Power steering, too.

If that 450 runs good and doesn't need a lot of work to clean up and fix, that would be a fairly decent price, but I would see if he would deal. I bought a 450 LP, sight unseen at an auction 250 miles from me 4 years ago. It does need some work done to it, but the sheet metal is almost immaculate.

i personally think he's about 1500 too high.

i bought a 450LP earlier this year that was in nicer shape than that one for 1900. widefront, FACTORY powersteering, tripl hydra touch, and not one single dent in the tin, and only one rib of the grille dented. only drawback on it was an aftermarket three point, but i put a fasthitch back on it.

if you want to pay that price go ahead, but there are ones cheaper out there
