656 top link

I just bought a 656 Hydro utility which I plan to outfit for mowing primarily with a 7' rotary mower. I"ve ordered the conversion tongs for use as a 3 pt. but not sure what range of length commonly used for the top link or is this something that has to be measured specifically? Anyone have an idea?

use a chain, won't bend the mower

common CatII top link, but for a mower use a piece of chain.

Bought one at Tractor Supply for my 656D Utility to mount a post driver. 21" closed length and extends to 31". SKU Number: 0288959 at TSC.

Grew up on two 656s with fast hitch. The chain will help keep strain off off the pto shaft as well. For implements like blades and sled lifts rig something more solid with a turn buckle to control the angle. BTW IH fast hitch was easier and better than three point just saying.
