450 Manifold

My dad called me today and he said that the muffler on his 450 is "wobbeling" right and left while driving. I havn't driven his tractor and a while, but I suspect that the manifold gasket is wore out. Thus the movement,...? Could it be something else? Thanks

The exhaust stack coming out the top of the manifold is a piece of 2" pipe that is threaded in. Either tighten it up or you may need to chase the threads and put in a new piece of pipe.

I forgot to mention, that the muffler clamp is tight on the manifold exhaust.

No gasket there is a pipe threaded into the manifold and the pipe probably needs to be replaced along with chasing the threads in the manifold so a new nipple will threadgood. You can get the nipples and any store that carries pipe. Just take the old one along so you get the correct length and size.
