NAPA tune up breaker points IH 454

I am inquiring about NAPA tune up parts for a IH 454, 464 tractor with a C-157 4 cylinder gasoline engine. I know that NAPA does carry some ECHLIN breaker points and condenser that will fit some of these old tractors. If anyone knows of a part no. that will fit I would surely appreciate it. Thanks.

Normally I can just go in NAPA and ask for the part I need. They carry tractor mufflers, gas caps, carburetor kits, breaker points, etc. The part number usually is not needed.

The best thing to do is use the NAPA website. Under part number search, put the IHC number in the box and click the "Interchange" bullet. Most of the time it will find the part if there is one. I have a C-123 so the one I use probably won't help you.

My local NAPA fired the old guys who could think and hired kids who can't. So I don't trust them to do anything.

Based on the old book I"ve kept around for 20 years under the counter I believe you could use Echlin CS729A points and AL868 {strap connector}or AL869 {wire connector} condenser. Your right, seems like experience costs too much these days, and computers are too cheap ! Some of us guys at NAPA are trying to hold out!

My book shows the 464 tractor with the C175 engine.The Borg Warner points for that is p/n HS4
and the condenser is HG5. Napa should be able to cross reference thses numbers. Hal
