966 fuel system??

My neighbor has a 966D that has good flow from fuel tank but after 5 minutes running the secondary fuel filter gets low and the engine quits running.Bled secondary filter it fires up and runs approximately another 5 minutes. What could be the problem as I'm not familiar with IHC's fuel systems? Thanks,Jim

replace the filters and check the fuel for sedament.

Clean the fuel line that goes to the fuel filters and put new filters on.

Quick air blast from filter to tank in feed line. Remove tank cap, listen for air at tank. New filters.

If blowing the lines to the tank out and replacing the primary filter doesn't help, it could be a problem in the pump. It sucks fuel through the primary, and pumps it through the secondary.
