Farmall 450 has no hydraulics or power steering

I recently raised a hydraulic lift swing away auger to taller bin only to find out my 450 was coupled to the auger to closely to hook up the pto, so I unhooked the auger (without lowering it) and hookup up a different tractor to the auger. I went to put the 450 away and of coarse I have not powersteering, or hydraulics. I presume I pump all the fluid into the cylinder of the auger. I added fluid back to the 450 but still no hydraulics or steering. Is it air locked? Did I damage the pump? Anyone have any ideas?

You might have ruined the pump if you ran it dry for very long.

Usually, though, there's enough residual oil in the pump to keep it lubed.

There should be a small hole on the top of the pump with a plug in it. Remove the plug, fill with hytran, replace the plug. That should prime the system.

Or, you can apply air pressure to the fill hole on the reservoir.
