Stage 1 SH value?

Would Stage 1 SH be worth much more than a regular H in same condition? I've run across one with either a Shwartz or other WFE, pretty good tin, rear rubber shot, unknown internals. Otherwise complete.

I don't recall seeing one before so I'm fishing for opinions.

I own one. If as described not running and engine stuck, 450 max. If not stuck, 650 max. More power than H not better brakes, that is about it. Jim

Lately around here the SH's are going very well. Agood running average tractor will bring $1500 all day long. Saw a plain Jane Stage II sell for 2800 a year ago and it wasn't a relative or family deal. It was me against another dope. He won.

I gave $1,200 for a late Stage 1 SH several years ago. It was in excellent mechanical condition, had straight tin and decent tires. But it was "cosmetically challenged" (original paint was pretty much gone).

Since the SH was only produced for a couple years they're much less common than regular H's at shows, etc. (At the 2 or 3 shows I attend every summer mine's usually the only SH). So to the right person a Super H is probably worth a bit more than an H in comparable condition.

I agree, the tractor he is considering is not running and has bad rears! (I would not sell mine for 2000). Jim

Stage 2 certainly does do a lot better on value from what I've seen too. I was kinda thinking in the range that Jim is but wanted some more ideas on it. Thanks for the replies!

I'll have to get closer than 20 ft. and see if I can tell anything about the engine etc. Originally stopped by this place to look at a cattle trailer.

I own a stage 1,I think value is similar-unless a collector wants one for his collection-then he will out bid you.
