Looking to interchange some parts...are the fenders the same on these 2?.I know the grill upfront has a slightly different hole pattern for the logos,is there any other difference in the grills? How about the pulley gearbox? Thanks in advance.

Some early grills may have used Dzus fasteners. Otherwise they are all the same through 650 excepting badge holes and chrome strips.

The belt pulleys are all the same. There may be some differences in the shifting lever position.

I think, but not sure, the W-9 fender was unchanged through SW-9 and perhaps some early 600. WR-9 fenders are different. Guy Fay's book shows a different fender for the 600. He shows the same fender for W-9 and SW-9.

Found them? I have none.

I don't like seeing this forum loaded with lazy questions. Common part numbers, requests for telephone numbers, and topics about run-of-mill tractor values are simply pollution. Google and this site's search function can handle all of that and more. Plus the answers are available sooner.

ahh....then don"t come on the site if it bothers you that much! Or, you don"t even need to bother with the site at all. Anyway, I guess I took too much of your time already...well that is a shame. Oh yeah, you will probably need the last word so I await your almight response.

Hey plowhand, judging by this picture here you could use a hood too! Thanks again, Jon

Are you in WI? I see the Fleet Farm sign at the gas station.

I just found a guy parting out a W-9. It sounded like a complete non-runner. I have contacted him (or is that you?) If it is complete I will just buy it, but if it isn't I will get you his info.

Wardner, glad the splinter finger is getting better and you are posting regular again. Keep up posted on your future projects!

As for the three tractors on a trailer, is that over GVWR? Must have farm tags. At least that is how I get around the DOT.

Good looking load of red projects at least!

Your email isn't active so I will just post the guys phone number. (two six two) 818-2795
If you have a carb, manifold, mag/coil, and radiator for a gasser I would take them off your hands and we could both have a W-9. He said he found this one super cheap and bought it for those parts and is just going to part out the rest...it's a shame. He said it has good tin so that should be a help. It is just outside Kenosha.

My trailer has a GVWR of 22,500 and is actually licensed for more than that, as to avoid trouble with DOT. It was a legal load but not by very much. With a million miles logged in long haul trucking, there is no way I could BS my way around the DOT by pleading I didn"t know better.

Does anyone here know of a 1951 WD-9replacement lower grill (the piece with all the slats) for sale that is straight? I have one currently, but it is has been pushed in and might take alot of work to straighten. If I can find a reasonably priced grill, I would prefer that approach. I am also looking battery boxes and covers for the same tractor. I am guessing they are tough to come by used due to their intended usage. Any good places for new ones?
