Replacing seals in Charlynn PS motor for 400

Gents,

I am going to fix (hopefully) a small drip from unit. I have never had one apart and I am using the Blue Ribbon manual GSS-1278-A primarily for guidance. I have a seal kit from Eaton, but I only plan on replacing the small o-rings on each end. The power end (front end of tractor) I am pretty comfortable about. The control end is a different story. I am concerned about how the shaft locating balls will behave when I pull the cap. If they do fall out, are they hard to relocate back for assembly? Any tips will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Balls are not a big problem. There is a "reight" way and a 180 degree "wrong way to reassemble it (how do I know that?) so be sure to make an index mark on the outer casing before you take it apart. I bout o rings locally and they worked fine for me.

It is the original decal. You can see I taped over itduring the reconstruction of the TG. I guess I should get a goo photo of it and put it up so guys can take it to their local graphics guy.
