Farmall clutch

Can anyone tell me the measurement form the clutch disc. to the fingers. I have a 3 finger clutch and need to know the measurement to set the fingers. My problem seems to be that I can't get the correct free play in the pedal. This was a new clutch about a year ago and the tractor isn't used much. I'm hoping the fingers are too close, and maybe if I adjust them,I won't have that problem. If I get the correct free play in the pedal the bolts in the release bering hits the fingers. Thanks

So, was the free play and finger clearance ever right????? If so you have other issues at this point.

I guess it would help if you told us what model tractor it is. Did you install a new throw-out bearing? Was the free traval correct and adjustable before you changed the clutch?

another thing is: as the disc is wearing the freeplay keeps decreasing and must be adjusted periodically . once the disc is worn out a lot of times you cant "get" freeplay. your last sentence makes no sense, as freeplay is the space from the brg to the adjustment bolts. like yes most pedal free travel is 3/4 to 1" but you can feel when the brg contacts the fingers. was the flywheel resurfaced? and if it is a stepped flywheel need to remove the same amount of meat from both surfaces.

Sorry didn't realize I didn't put the tractor that I was working on. It is a 1948 Farmall Cub. When the clutch and throw out bearing was replaced about a year ago it was fine. Then just recently, the throw out bearing broke and replaced. The fingers were adjusted then. My question is if they were adjusted at the correct height. I have a manual, but it doesn't really state what that measurement should be. This clutch has a graphite throw out bearing in it. The pressure plate and clutch disc looks fine.

well turn the adjusting bolts in some and see if you have free play.then adjust rod accordingly. gotta start at clutch and work out, not rod first.
