Super M and haybine

Okay I have been doing hay now for about 5 years with my super M and an old 45 new holland sickle bar. Im looking to get a haybine next year. By the end of last year I was cuttin about 30 acres and just need one. I have a good friend who has an international 990. Would the super m handle it well? I know that I dont have live pto but I think it should power it fine but just wanted to double cheack. What do you guys think

The SM will handle a 9 or 10ft haybine just fine.It will probably handle a 12ft.if the hay isnt too heavy...mine did.

We pulled a 7 ft 1190 for years with an Original M, then upgraded to a Super M. No issues at all. Actually wished we had a 9 ft back then instead of the 7.

Live power would have also been nice, but you use what you have.

This year was my first with an H and a NH 461 haybine with a 9' cut. It did fine. One concern I have heard is that on the haybines where the whole machine is lifted the belly pump hyds may not be strong enough, but I don't know which way the 990 is set up.

I've used my regular M on my 9 ft NH haybine several times in pretty tall timothy with no problem. It can be tricky without a live PTO. My M doesn't have the best belly pump and it lifts the machine with no problem. I normally use my 300U which is similar HP and has a live PTO.
