There is a Farmall A on Ebay with less than 2 days left. Starting price is only $4,200.00. Just needs paint. I am waiting till the last moment to put in my bid. But looks like everyone else has the same idea.

DARRELL, IF YOU DON'T WIN THE BID DON'T WORRY! I AM SURE IF YOU TELL GUY YOU ARE LOOKING FOR FARMALL A AND WILLING TO SPEND $4200 THERE WILL
BE A LINE YOU CAN HAVE YOU PICK FROM. OLDIRON29

First off its a Super A, which is a good thing. But only needs paint?? Did you see the final drive seals and pto leaking? There's oil all over the torque tube and side of the engine too. For 4200 it'd have to be pretty, and not just at 50 feet either, or have every attachment ever made for it. There's no bids because it's overpriced. Shawn

I just bought my A this summer for 950.00 Needed paint and decals. It was converted to a 12v and what I liked it has turf tires.the only thing I had to do was rebuild a starter since I put that one on my BN and buy a tube for one of the front tires. I am sure if the price is right I will let her go.

I have a 1950 in my shed. I'm just trying to hype up the sale of this 1953. If it brings $4200.00 I am going to ask $4100.00 for mine since it is only a 6 volt. And sometimes I have to hand crank it. Makes it more of an antique and more valuable. Although it does have a Woods L59 deck with "a lot of character". Maybe $4200.00 wouldn't be out of line.

I thought prices for tractors were down but maybe I missed something. I know around here you can buy Super As from $800.00 to $2,500.00. But the $800.00 one might have "some assembly required".

I think it's at least worth $4200. I didn't want to bid it up, but now that you let the cat out of the bag, I'd guess that things going to go sky high.

Oh, and those aren't leaky seals, that's a high tech metal preservation system. It was a factory option on those A's.

This is just an example of someone who invested in fixing up their tractor (according to the listing), new tires, new rebuild on engine, etc. etc. and now thinks they are going to get back all that they put in.

He may have $4200 in all of that, but it doesn't mean it is worth that. Maybe with the paint job, and validation that all is new, if someone wanted a refurb'd A and didn't want to do all the work, then MAYBE.....but then, there are all the leaks...........makes one wonder if they really did all the work on it that is listed.

I for one like doing the work on them.

Hmm...

Here's another... "wife said sell it and get what you've got in it out of it... "

$9500 for a 62 Cub... It does look sharp though...
