1086 serial number

the serial number tag on our 1086 on the right of the rear end housing is missing, there is one located inside the right hand door that reads model 86 serial 96177 if this is the correct number what year model would it be, also is there any way to use the serial number to find out what upgrades from standard if any were installed during production

1981 started with serial no. 27426

The number on the door post is the S/N for the ROPS, not the tractor.
