IH 666 or686

Always wanted a Farmall 666 or 686 to keep my IH 300U company amongst my Deeres. Any things to look out for?

They are both great tractors. Try and find one with not to many hours on it and check to make sure the TA is good. I have one of each,a gas and a diesel.

Do like Erik mentioned. I have a 686 Diesel, and I like it. My friend has a 656 diesel, and it seems to be basically the same tractor, so I'd venture a guess that 656,666,686 would all fit the bill for your wants.

The 312 diesel engine is excessively noisy. I like my 656 better.
