Super C original remote hydraulic valve

I have a farmall super c that has the original remote valve that ran the fast hitch. I am putting a snow plow on this tractor that has a single acting cylinder on it. I was wondering if the original valve could be converted to run single acting cylinders or not as I see a pipe plug in the side about the size of th hyd line. I belive the fast hitch had down pressure as well and the plow is gravity down. Thanks for the help.

When looking at the valve just use the front one, (one to the right). The rear one can just be plugged.

You can do that, but the pressure will be "dead headed" when you lower the blade. This will build heat in the hydraulic system if you raise and lower it a lot. Better to hook a line from the "down" port to return to the reservoir instead. I'm not sure of the location without looking at a tractor or the system.

I hooked it up last night and put it on the rear outlet, I had forgotten what you said and remover the plug in the center and ran a line from the front outlet to the center one like a return and it works ok. I will change it to the front outlet tonite and see how it works. Nice little tractor to plow with though! Gotta get the chains on now.
