460 can not get the float to work

There is no float position on 2 way pressure on a 460. Least the 460 we had never had it.

If you switch the valve to one way pressure then you will have float.

You have to turn the knob below the dash between the clutch and the brakes a 1/4 turn to get it switched to one way. You will have no down pressure and down motion will be slow in the one way position.

Correct. There is no float on any of the factory valves on a 460.

Float position did not come along until the 706/806.

If you switch to one-way, you lose down pressure.

The only option is to install a joystick valve with float for the loader, and plumb it into the tractor's hydraulic system.

ok well you are right it is not a true float it is a one way valve and I have turned the valve to the one way and I still have presser

That happen on my 560 one time.

The valve wasn't actually switching when you turned the thingy.

Seems to me I had to take a cover off the front of a the switching valve down below there and a roll pin or something had fallen out of place.
