Finally found an F-30

well, I finally found one. appears that all it will need is rear wheels, and probably a piston and sleeve kit (maybe). It is all there, and tranny works fine. bock is not cracked. sheet metal is ok. Will need some TLC, but I am happy.

So, anyone know where I can get a set of rears for this puppy? I don't care if they are cast or cutoffs......

I have great luck with the classifieds here. I think only one time in the last many years have I posted that I was looking for something and not had responses. I buy a lot of parts on e-bay too.

Rob, good point. I am in western Pa. Money is always a consideration, but I am willing to consider options for shipping or possibly pickup for the rears. West Coast is out of the question, but midwest may or may not be an option depending upon how far west it is.

I don't pick the F-30 up until next week, and it is located in New York.

Also, I am waiting for my F-30 parts book to show up. A couple of quick questions.

are the connecting rods, pistons, and sleeves the same as a 15-30? W30?

Is the F20 carb the same one as is on a F30?

I presume that f-20 rear rims won't fit an F-30?

engine same in W-30, 15-30 is a different animal. Rear rims are unique to F-30. Carb is same basic carb but venturi and jetting probably different.

W30, 10-20 use the same basic engine. 10-20 does not
use a water pump) F20 and F30 both use the K5 Zenith
carb. The true F30 carb will have a larger venturi
but for showing and going either will work. No, the
wheels are different. The F30 uses a larger bolt
pattern. Fronts will interchange though (may need to
change the seal lip)

Tom, I have a set of rears I would sell that have black round things we call tires that hold air only. They are 38 inch cutdowns. I can send pictures of them and I am in central Indiana. Let me know and we can talk. Dwayne

ok, guys, F-30 manual, is still not here. Will the aircleaner to carb steel tube from an F-20 work for the F-30?

They are different, but you could probably make it work with some longer connector hoses. Or have one bent at an exhaust pipe place. Cowmans probably got one he could send ya.
