Hello, I have an I.H.330 utility, have been trying to lacate a wiring diagram with out any luck. The issue is I was using tractor for about 3 hrs. shut is down for an hour, then when I tried to start it was burning wires smoke was comming fron ingnition area. I replace all burned wires, had the starter and solined replaced when I have tried starting every time the wire going to the alternator burns. the tractor never attempts to start. tried jumping across solinid nothing, Disconected altermnator nothing. I belive it is a positive ground. Any help in fixing the problem and /or where to get the wiring digram would be appricated.

Wiring it might not fix it. There is probably a bad diode trio in the alternator.. Have that tested before going forward. When they fail they take wiring with them.
A fuse link installed in the wiring where the system attaches to the starter motor solenoid that is rated for 5% more than the alternator output (look up the specs) will prevent major damage. Jim
