Farmall M rear light wiring

Does anyone know how the wire was orginally run to the rear light from the switch on the 1947 farmall M?

Out the bottom of the panel, and along the underside of the lip/overhang of the tranny cover.

Like Scotty said with the addition that the wire was protected by a steel loom.

What holds the steel loom in place? I don"t have any holes for bolts? Thanks guys

Should be two clips to hold it in place, simple pieces of bent steel strapping. One will be on the left hand edge very near the rear. The other will be up near the top of the brake housing.

The light and other harness clips typically took advantage of a bolthead that was made to hold something heavier and more important (like a brake cover) in place. Replacement clips are available pre-made from OEM tractor Parts.

There is a diagram in the Parts Catalog that shows it pretty well. The same may be in an Operator's Guide or service manual too.
