New to me 706G

Purchased a 706 gasser this weekend. Will be used for haying. All original and gauges work. It show 3340hrs on it. Rubber is really good.
Had a little problem when pulling up a hill, like it was running out of gas so going to look at it tonight runs good other wise.
Is there anything out of the norm I should look at before putting it to use? pros cons?
Thanks in advance
Matt

Missing or sputtering while going up a hill might indicate the need for new spark plugs and a good, general tune-up. If it is actually starving for fuel, the sediment bowl might need cleaned, or that electric solenoid on the carburetor might be mal-functioning.

Sounds and acts like starving for fuel. I pulled the choke out and it got better but not 100%. I here the electric selinoid click when turning on the key. I pulled the each plug wire off and verified spark/fire while running. Looking at the sediment bowl.
Is there a filter or someithing up in the tank that can get plugged or slow the gas output?
Thanks

The tank may have rust and dirt blocking the fuel outlet. Use a good flashlight to see inside the tank. Hal
PS: Pull the gas line at the tank and see if there's a full stream of gas from the tank. Use a clean container to catch the gas.
