Hydraulic Oil

I bought a farmall M that is low on hydraulic fluid what kind of oil should i put in this. I haven"t received my book yet. Some people told me 30w some said hyraulic fluid. What do you guys runs?

I run hyd-trans tractor fluid in all my farmalls so I can borrow/lend implements without worry about contaminating someones $75,000 tractor.

I use hytran if it has hydraulics and/or a TA. If it is just the trans with no hyd or TA then just regular trans oil.

30W unless you share implements, otherwise Hytran or equivalent. Some say non-detergent 30W to prevent foaming. I have not had that problem.
