Hi, we have a late M with a belly pump, two way hydraulics, hand clutch, and a 115 side-mount mower.When the tractor gets warm it will barely lift the mower so I drained all 2 quarts of quiklift and put in non detergent 40W hopeing that will help.I have read and heard some conflicting info. With the two-way hydraulics I can close the breather right??, it spits out oil like crazy at times and has always been open.the shop manual I found says 6 qts, but does it all drain out when you change it? I also can"t read that 3-piece dipstick to save my life. I put in 4 qts of 40w and tried to read it but as you feed it down the pipe it gets covered in oil from the insides of the pipe. I will try again hoping that it all has dribbled out of the pipe. Can I trust to just put in 6 qts if I can"t read the dipstick? Thanks

Put in at least 6 quarts if you have drained it. Overfillig will not hurt it just might make a mess from overflowing when hot. Some people put the return line in bottom of sump through drain plug to prevent overflow through vent.

Close the breather valve when using the two-way .
