The OS4 is a standard tractor. it did not have the side shields or cowl covers that were on the O4. Other than sheet metal, they are the same tractor. The O4 is highly collectable due to its unique look. There were less OS4s made, and while they are collectable, they are cheeper to buy than a full dress O4.

as schoolman said the difference is the sheet metal. My OS4 is much like a w-4 except that the seat and steering wheel are lowered, the intake and exhaust are under the hood and the oil and gas caps have pieces that go around them so that the hood is smooth and low branches cannot get caught on anything. Even though the OS4's are a little rarer, the o-4's are worth more because most of them got beat up very badly. The OS4s are still worth a decent amount of money. I've seen restored OS4's go for $6500 and restored O4's go for $10000.
