generator mounting bracket

ID 9 farmer

after spending two years finding parts I have my ID 9 running better than new. How ever some one added a M and W hydraulic pump in the 1950's and never put the generator back on. I have purchased a generator for it but the mounting bracket will not fit the tractor as the hose and fittings are in the way.Did M&W make a bracket to mount generator or will I have to go back to factory parts? I looked into up grading to a IH pump but I would have to change crank case front cover and also a gear. thank you in advance for your help.

Though there may have been components from M&W to fit the pump on the tractor originally (certainly without changing the gen mount) finding those will be near impossible.
Two suggestions:
Re-design the hydraulic routing to better fit the space. This might involve using new elbows at the pump, or having a steel adapter made to "flatten" the hoses along the pump. The most important elements in this are the use of pressure rated fittings and hoses made up by a hydraulic shop, or if you are set up to do it being careful to have high quality connections at all points. The supply side must be set up with hose rated for suction not pressure. This can use barbed fittings and clamps, but that is not as desirable as made up hose end systems similar to the pressure side. All pressure hoses should be 2500psi working pressure rated (or more).

The generator mount might then work as originally designed. MD mounts will probably work. If not, fabricating them is not difficult. Use 3/8" thick by 1" wide strap to form the bracket, and attach it with tabs and an arm to adjust the belt tension. If the pulley is an adjustable design it can also allow a ridgid location of the gen, taking up belt tension by changing the pully adjustment. Good luck. Jim
