Define "bad motor". If the block is NOT cracked, you would probably be better off to rebuild what you now have.

The 135 and the 153 make a super C SUPER. I have had a super C with the 135 and really like it. I have never done it my self but some motors will bolt right in and others need a little work to get in. You can buy a swather engine in good shape a lot cheaper than rebuilding the old motor. Its up to you but i would put the bigger engine in.

Done some of them.135 is not to bad 153 is a B!$% not just a bolt in thing couple things you have to do like bore the end of the crank shaft to except the pilot bearing. have to change radiator fittings and some more fun things. But does make a neat little tractor.

I have a Super C with a 153 in it and i have helped a few others put them in. Its not to bad.
We had to cut about 1 1/4 off the drive shaft and you need to come up with a bearing the will press into the fly wheel to be used as a pilot bearing. I used a 140 water neck (upper and lower)or you could cut the loop that holds the fan on the stock upper water neck and you wouldn't need to change the radiator.
And you'l need to rejet the stock C carb a little.
