340 tractor help

can someone tell me what the center bolts are for on the rear wheels. i have oil leaking from them. didnt know if theres a seal behind them or not thanks for any help
 
page1; Sounds like the late, great Paul Harvey! If you are talking the bolts in the clamp, they hold the wheel in place on the axle. Inside the wheel, towards the outside of the square shaped rear axle carrier, is a gasket. At the link below, I typed 340 in the "Model" dialogue box; I selected Farmall 340 gas tractor; scrolled down and clicked on the "Rear Axle" link, then selected the rear axle. A diagram of the parts is now on the right side of the screen w/part #"s and descriptions below. If you have the International 340, select that link. A useful site if you don"t have a parts book.
