Farmall F20 Spoke Wheels

Looking at all the different f20s on the internet, some of the spoke wheels look different. Some look like the spokes are smaller than the other. How many different types of spoke wheels are there? Which one is the rarest? Also, I hear that finding a wheel with a cast center and a galvanized rim is a rare find. Can some post a picture of a spoke wheel and a cast/galvanized wheel? I’ve never seen the galvanized style, not sure how to identify it. Thanks

Round spokes were made by F@H in rim sizes from 24 to 40. THe length of the spoke makes them look different.
Round spokes were always red NO silver painted rims.
This F20 has the cast centers with galvanized rims. 38 and 39 model years could be purchased with these. Hard to find.

The picture of the spoke wheels you posted is what I figured they looked like. I found this one online of a spoke wheel, but look how the rim is different than the one in your picture. Are there different styles of spoke wheels along with different sizes? Also, sometime I see when these wheels are bolted to the axle the lug bolts are flush with the wheels and sometimes there inset a few inches or so. Is it a different center one the wheel that’s causing this?

I tried posting a picture with my previous posting but it didn't work. Type Farmall F20 into google images and it’s the first picture that displayed.

This one?

This is a split rim type F@H, like a truck tire, the bead ring is split and removable. Also should be red not silver.

As for your bolt question the rims are reversible for different tread widths.

Yeah, that’s the one. Where the split rims a factory option back in the day or are those wheels from a newer model tractor?

These were all from IH either as a factory setup or available for retrofit. I have seen only a few aftermarket rims for the 20 that weren't F@H and only 1 set that wasn't for a F30. They are unique to the model. 12/14, 20, and 30 all mounted differently and don't interchange. Early H wheels will fit on a F12 however, but no other IH tractor wheels fit the F20 or F30

Purchased a 38 F20 at an auction last August with cast hubs and the galavnized rims or what may have been galvanized. (they were rusty) Didn"t realize I had some thing rare.

if they are flat spoke cut offs the bolts will be sticking out only the thickness of the bolt head if this is what you mean by flush. These were originally steel wheels which had the spokes cut off and pneumatic rims welded on. Maybe these are one of the versions you are seeing. Flat spokes are definitely wider appearing than round spokes.
