Have a 1066 International Tractor that I recently purchased. Notice that when you turn to the left while engine running it works fine. When you turn to the other side you feel tremendous pressure on the wheel eventually one of bolts from the hand pump broke off and the oil started spilling out. I removed the hand pump and purchased the kit, does any one know if the steering pump have any timing that I need to know of. Anyone out there has rebuilt one, please help.

sincerely,

mario

Hello,
Had trouble with the one on my 1466. Blew a couple of seals (orings) out of the handpump before I went ahead and replaced the round tubular piece that encompasses the hand pump. It is the outer body of the handpump and apparently the old one had somehow stretched though you could not tell by looking. Since replacing it have had no more trouble.
Hope this helps.YVC
