460/560 Gas Exhaust Manifold

I purchased a new aftermarket exhaust manifold for my 460 because the factory ones are hard to come by. I looked for some time rumaging through salvage yards ect.. The aftermarket manifold made is the same one used on the 706's. I was told I could buy a reducer which would allow me to use the factory sized riser pipe and avoid cutting the hood. Where can I find the reducer? Do I have any other logical options? Thank you.

Good luck Gavin. That's why I ordered mine from CIH. It cost more, but it fit and I didn't spend two weeks trying to cobble it back together. I've had it with AM parts. They never fit like OEM, and it seems I always spend more money and time trying to save a few buck over OEM. I'd return it, and bit the bullet. Just my 2 cents.

If the hole lines up without mods you can buy a reducer at a large plumbing shop that threads pipe larger than 2 inches. When I put mine on my 560 my hood was worn from sloppy pipe in old set up that a 2.5 inch pump just fit with out mods.Lol Scott
