Super A-1 with a different motor?

HI, I found a Super A-1 (one) Industrial tractor for sale but i'm not sure if the motor has been changed out. The tractor is an industrial model because it has the square front axle, the foot throttle and the international label on the hood. Whats got me stumped is why the serial # plate has FAA-1 as the prefix and not an IAA-1. The serial # is 356183. Also what i'm trying to figure out is if the motor has been replaced. the Motor prefix is FCM 206808. I heard for industrial models this should be ICM? The block codes are 5-10-Z and the stamp down by the oil filter is 354898R. Is this a 113 or a 123 ci engine from a super C? or did international use the same engine towards the end of the super's production run and this engine is from the super A-1

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

The Super C's used that engine block and the later Super A's probably used it too. It's the C123 block. Hal
PS: It probably has a water pump too and you can install an overbore kit to boost the cid to 133cid without any machining to the block.

My reply elsewhere:
According to Guy Fay's book, the serial prefix for an industrial should be
IAA1 and the engine number prefix should be ICM. Your engine number (which
you posted elsewhere) is about right for your serial number. So I suspect
all the industrial parts may have been moved from another tractor. The
other (pretty unlikely) explanation is that Guy's prefix info is incorrect.
The only differences between a Farmall and the industrial are:
- heavy front axle (with brace), could be moved from a donor.
- foot accelerator, could come from the donor.
- decals, not trustworthy as most have been replaced at some point.

The lower steering gear housing has to be changed along with the axle. Did
you check it for a date code? If it has one, it may be the only mismatched
code on the tractor.

check the cast dates on the final drives and trans,
they should be pretty close to that 5-10-Z date;
may, 10, 54.

I agree with Jim Becker. The engine is a C123, the 354898 and the Z (1954) code confirm that. And, all the International SA/SA-1 items were an option on the Super A/SA-1. Don't know if they were transferred as Jim says or if it was ordered that way. Anyway, except for the serial prefixes, and decals, your tractor is equivalent to the International version.

As I understand it raeding the above posts the serial number is from 1954 (is it back by the seat or clutch housing?) and the engine casting date is Z - 1954. It could just be it was ordered that way or had a part replaced on the way.
Working for Pontiac back in the 80s - I had to repair cars that had Buick/Chev/Olds/Caddilac emblems, doors, dashes installed at the factory due to errors or inattention - or even a wrongly checked box on the order form.
