i have a problem with my 706...pto will not dis-en-gage...whether under load or not...started after a day of bailing...was driving the tractor and bailer home and PTO started up and only stops when tractor is shut off...any ideas...have played with linkage with no change... replaced O rig in control valve ...any ideas.???? thanks

Most likely what happened is the clutch pack slipped and welded itself together. You can verify that by trying to turn the shaft with the engine off. It takes a bit of effort but you should be able to overcome the PTO brakes by using a pipe wrench on the shaft. If it turns the engine your clutch pack is welded together.

check the slip clutch on thebaler.it MUST slip, should get 'toasty warm'during oprration.if it does not slip a little, you are going to ruin the next /replacement PTO.and possibly baler driveline, gearbox, and more.just trying to save problems in the future
