What kind of Loader is on my M, and how much is it worth?

Just wondering what kind of Loader this is, that I have on my M, and how much is it worth if I sell it? I have a smaller Ford tractor that I usually use for loader work, and the lift-all on my M is not working as good as it should, so I was curious about selling it. It's a trip loader. Thanks.

I'm afraid to say it, but not very much. I had a decent high lift farmhand loader I was trying to sell last year. Couldn't get any takers at $250. I figured the 4 cylinders alone are worth more than that. I pulled em off and cut the frame up for scrap.

This is just my opinion, and I mean no offense, but just getting it off of that nice looking M was the first step in the right direction. I have no idea what make of loader it is, and those kinds of loaders were OK in their day, when there was nothing better, but to me, they are just scary, and are a wreck waiting to happen. If you like to build, or fix and repair things, keep it for the iron. Otherwise, take it to the scrap monster, everyone and everything is safer that way. BTW, I like that grill guard on your M too, at least the front end was protected from that loader.

Horn or Horn-Draulic loader have one on an H and it moves a lot of snow but is hard to steer with the bucket full

looks like a horn loader not worth a whole lot around here. I guess 50 to 200 depends on if the pump and spool are included

That is a Horn-Draulic.Made in Iowa. New Idea bought them out many yrs ago.
We had one on a DC case & latter it was on a M-M U. They were a very strong rig , I used to load machinery w/ ours . Never broke it anywhere .The 2 stage cyl s. would lift very high.

The grill protector is a nice feature! I also like the additional lights. Both handy features on a loader tractor.
To me a trip bucket loader is worth $230/ton. If you find the right guy it is worth something. Being an aftermarket that will make it even tougher to find "the right guy."

It might be worth $100 to a guy with an H or an M that wants to use it to plow snow in the winter. Advertise it in the photo ads and see if you get any bites. Also craigslist. Both are free. What've you got to lose?
