Farmall F-12 single front wheel question

(casting # 26046DAX) i was wondering if there were any bearings or cast bushings or anything in the wheel to be replaced. my wheel seems to be worn some and i would like to make it tighter. Thanks

There are two big cast iron bushings. I had the same issue with my F12. Instead of trying to search for good ones, I fixed the originals. If you are good with a welder and a lathe you can do that yourself or take them to a machine shop. On mine I also had to weld up the axle shaft and turn it true again in a lathe. Than I used the lathe to drill/reem out the center of the two busihngs so they were true again, than pressed a brass bushing into each, to fill the new gap, and so that they would wear rather than the cast pieces. After that I just sized the bushings for the new axle diameter, put it back together and its good as new.

Hope this helps you

When you get it fixed remember to grease the tar out of it every time you run it. I had the one on my f-12 try to seize up one time. Not fun as I was miles from home where the grease gun was.
