OK I would really like to know HOW DO YOU LOOK UP THINGS IN THE ARCHIVES I have tried to find a post that i put in ????? last fall with a pic and i got a few replies wnated to show them to a buddy that has a tractor that needs a few things repaired on . I have C.R.S (caint rember s@#%!)

There is no good way. Just keep describing what you said and look for it page by page. At least the archives are usually in order by date. If last fall you should be able to find it fairly easily. I looked under ericy, but there wasn't anything related to what you said, tried only in classic view.

Try opening this post, click on "Modern View" in upper right corner, on your own post, click on "profile", click on "all posts by this user".
You should be able to find it from there. Don't know if the pictures will still be there though.

When I need to find a post that I have written, I will enter my name plus one "keyword" that I know will be in the post. It can't be something like "tractor" or "paint". There will be too many hits. Generally, I will be able to select the right topic from the list on the first click.

Alternatively, you can enter three or four common keywords and be presented with a short list of topics.

Many people consider the archives to be worthless. Not me. A successful search depends on the words entered into the search box.

I can find my pictures quicker here than going through my Photobucket album. That helps when I want to reuse a picture in a new post.

You are not being very clear as to where you posted. Was it on this forum or in photo ads.
If it was photo ads do your search there. Some photo ads are archived without contact information tho.
If all else fails go to the left side of this page under Discussion Forums/Site Comments and one of the staff will help you.
