overrunning pto clutch

i want to buy an overrunning pto clutch for my super m. are they all the same or are some better than others. i found some for 40 bucks and some for 80 bucks. also what size pto does a super m have i saw different sizes of OR clutches what size do i need.

You need the 1 3/8' size. As to quality, I don't know what the difference would be between a $40 or $80 clutch.

I can't prove it but I suspect they're all made in the same place (overseas) and you just as well buy the cheap one.

Look for the horsepower rating of the over-running clutch. The price goes up along with a higher horsepower rating.

You can also get one to fit the early 1 1/4" pto with a 1 1/4" output, or with a 1 3/8" output, or the other way around, and one with a 1 3/8" input and output, and a few other choices. They may all be made in the same place, but they are not all the same.

Be sure to check the clearance on the length of the driveshaft. I know someone who didn't check on a brand new mist blower and blew out the bearings and belts in 5 minutes because the shaft was 1" too long!
