had tractor 2 years first year rebuilt carb ran great last year plowing this year back fires through carb and out exhaust alot always having to play with choke and air screw to keep running
 
Sounds like a valve (timing or clearance) or spark (timing or crossed wires) problem. Anything like that been worked on before the problem started?

ounds like it sat for a bit with the ignition on but the engine wasn't running. Probiably did the points in. Take a look at your points. If there is a little tear drop where it looks like the points melted at somepoint replace em and the condensor. Some say you can file em and get away with it but I've had limited success doing that. If the points are ok and such I'd inspect other parts of your ignition. Your plug wires might be causing a crossfire issue. Could also be a distributer cap too.
 
Mag or distributor? Check that the rotor is lined up with a distributor cap plug wire terminal when ready to fire if a mag is being used.
 
it's a distributor had new plugs and wires when first bought will give her the once over and get back with results
