Governor response finally....

Ive been running the A for a year and never been happy that I had the governor working correctly. I have tried the adjustments too many times. What worked? Welding the worn gov. spring holes and re-boring. Put a dog-leg-bend in the throttle rod to make it slightly shorter. Reset, and adjusted the gov linkage for the 37th time, adjusting the clevis on the long side. Thanks to all on this site for the help.Installed my Christmas gift, new Zenith carb from YT. Running smooth, and snorting under load. Yeah baby!

Tim, Thanks for the update - those are two problems its nice to have behind you. The Zenith carb sure made a difference in my Super C as well. Happy New Year and enjoy your A in the new year, Hal.

I had the same problem with my CUB. My fix was to put a turnbuckle in the middle of the throttle rod. Made it adjustable to take up for the lost motion. Works great. rw
