I was replacing the spark plugs and spark plug wires on my 560 today and was not paying attention to the order. What is the order on the distributor cap from the bolt sticking out clockwise and the spark plugs from the front of the tractor to the back? Please help, I need to finish plowing my yard after our snow storm here in MN.

Firing order is cast into the side of the engine block. You will just need to find out which is #1 on the cap. Take out #1 spark plug and slowly crank engine over with your thumb over the spark plug hole, when you feel air pressure against your thumb you will know #1 piston is on compression stroke, continue turning engine until piston is at top dead center, use a wire through the spark plug hole to determine when the piston stops moving up. Look and see where on the distributor cap the rotor is pointing, that is where the #1 wire goes, finally, following the firing order, attach the wires to the cap going clockwise from #1.

You're absolutely correct, D.E.B.

I've been staring at this box for too long today!
