I lifted this picture from an eBay auction. This "Power Steering" emblem just sold for $102.50 plus $5.00 shipping.

I could use a few of these but had no intention of bidding on this one.

This wouldn't be hard for someone like OEM Tractor Parts to make. I wonder if it is done with a silk screen,

I found similar on Steiner's site and in the catalog but not that exact one, which MAY be why it went so high. Maybe one of the guys who posted can get you the link I was not able to find to the actual item if they have it. Personally, I would live without the darn thing before I would pay that much.

Don't know of any reproductions just like the originals. If I wanted to sell the runner up would probably be interested.

Dave,

YTMag's "Safemail Assistant" doesn't work on my email program. Would you email me at wardner at peoplepc dot com with a price?

Can the inferior emblem be cleaned to look like the better one?

Sorry if I give the impression they were for sale. I just posted what they look like without the nut. Do have another that someone painted red with the rest of tractor I may consider selling. May see if the paint will come off without the paint under the red, but I doubt it. The letters and dividing lines are raised, so they could probably be repainted by someone good at detailing. Haven't looked at it for a long time so will need to refreash my memory on condition. Will email the results.

If I had one of these I could make you a pretty good duplicate in my foundry or could clean one up and repaint it.

I'm assuming these were made of cast aluminum? I remember on Grandpa's 300 the "Power Steering" emblem in the middle of the steering wheel was just a thin piece of metal (tin? or maybe steel?) with the black & red screen printed on it.
