Hi guys my A ser# makes it a 42 has the deleate cover over were the pump went on the font right of the block. I can't read the motor ser# Did they have that option on the 42's

I have never seen an A with factory hydraulics. The Super's have hydraulics. I am surprised there is a place for a pump and a cover. Is it the orginal motor. I have a Cub that way but my A does not.

Way too early. Sounds like a replacement block/motor somewhere along the line.

along with the port for the hydro pump on the block, the torque tube that even allowed you to mount the hydraulic block didn't come along until the Supers.

So is this a super A block or motor? Could this be why the tin doesn't fit right? Hope the picture came through.[/img]

My B, which is pretty much the same has a Super A or C block and the tin fits. Mine works fine and I have the delete plate. Other than the plate there you would never know it.
