Hydraulic Pump Overhaul Kit

I have an old 1948 IH 656 tractor with a Thompson 7gpm hitch system pump that no longer works. I need a hydraulic pump overhaul kit to repair it. I have searched many sources, but I cannot find this kit. Can anyone please help? Thanks!!

I do not think that 656's were not built until about 1970 give or take a year. Armand

You are usually spot on with your advice.

With all due respect, 656s were made in 1965. I have had two, still have one.

and the last year for them was 71-72 when they were replaced by 666.

TractormanNC My bad!! Should have said plus or minus 4yrs? I was within the years of production for making a stab at it. Thanks for the correction as I figger if I am not exact someone will help me. Armand

You can't find a kit because there is not one made for those pumps. When they wear out they wear the aluminum housing. No fix, just slap in a new one.
