I recently purchased a Super C Farmall 1952 for a restoration project and I am in the process of working on the steering . My question is I have about two inches of play in the steering how is the best way to correct this problem and what parts are usually the culprit??

Sme time you can turn the steering all the way around and use the other side if the sprocket in the front bolster and that is easy to do. If that is where the wear is. I have heard of people doing that.

Check the u-joints on the steering. I had to replace the ones on the Super C I had. Made a big difference in the steering. I got the parts from the the local IH dealer. Hal
PS: The new new joints had zerk fittings on them so they could be greased.
