Farmall Boyz

My son bought a 79 cub in late july. He is wanting to restore it as his first tractor. Also get it done for next year red power round up show. So here is his question. Is a grill for a 1964-1974 same as the one for a 79 cub? Also could we see a picture of a 79 cub when paint the true red color. Thanks

grills will be the same if they are both standard cubs but to my knowledge the correct color is federal yellow with ih white i feel sure that i am right but stand tobe corrected!

The grilles are different. The 64 - 74 is a white expanded metal and the 75 and up are black and I believe the shell is slightly different in shape.
If it is an international cub it will be yellow and white. There were a few red Farmall cubs produced during that time frame but not many.

Here is a 64:

And a 79 Farmall:

I always thought the grills were the same just a different colour. The last cubs built in 79 were red, but i have seen a few of them and i think the yellow and white ones look better. I have a picture of a red 79 but i dont know how to attach it to this message. I own a 1975 cub and its yellow and white. Thanks Erik..
