rebuilding hydraulic pump

I have a 300U, the pump is acting weak. I am getting hot oil in the lines when I try to work it and doesn't lift the loader well. I've discovered a replacement pump will run over $700.00. What I am wondering is there somewhere they can be rebuilt? Or does it end up being as much or more in cost?

Have you cleaned the filter system

Where is the filter system? I am very interested in this thread also as my H and MD have poor/no functioning hydraulics.

Sorry I've taken so long to get back. Life kind of hectic right now. Yes I've cleaned and gone through the filter. That was my hope that it would solve the problem. Really made no difference. Pump has been weak but seems to be getting weaker. Also noticing hyd. lines get hot after I use it for awhile.
